The Winter Wonderland Dance is coming up on December 8th, and is sure to be a night you will never forget! Your payment and signed permission slips are due to your homeroom teacher by Tuesday. Today, we have extended homeroom until 9:06 a.m. to allow everyone to participate in a survey being conducted with students at both HMS and the high school regarding your perceptions, experiences, and views on alcohol, tobacco/vapes, marijuana, and other drugs. You will complete the survey questions online using your Chromebooks.
The survey is COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS. You won't provide your name and no one will know or see your individual responses. The survey is also COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY. You do not have to participate if you don't want to, or you may skip any question you wish. If you don't want to participate in the survey at all, you may read a book or work on other homework or class assignments during this time.
At the conclusion of this morning's announcements your homeroom teacher will direct you to the website and provide you with the access code to take the survey. It should take about 20-30 minutes to complete.
We have an adjusted bell schedule. Following extended homeroom, periods 1, 2 and 3 are shortened to 31 minutes each. And then periods 4 thru 9 will proceed as normal. Check your email for today's bell schedule.
Attention all 8th graders - We have a special assembly program for you this afternoon - entitled Million Bazillion Live! Teams 8A and 8B will attend the assembly in the MAIN GYM during period 7 today. Teams 8C, 8D, and 8E will attend the assembly in the MAIN GYM during period 9 today. For more information about the program, check your email.
Because the main gym will be in use for set-up and this afternoon's assembly program, All gym classes starting period 3 thru period 9 should report to the Annex Gym for classes today. That's periods 3-9 gym report to the annex gym for PE today.
