October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the tradition continues here at HMS where we turn our school pink. Friday, October 13th is "ALL IN, ALL PINK". So show your spirit for those fought cancer and for those who try to find a cure.

Are you interested in being a part of peer leadership? There is an Information Session for the R.E.B.E.L. Peer Leadership Club tomorrow morning, October 10th at 7:45 in the library. You'll learn more about the club, meet the advisors and get to know some of the other students you'll be working with. Again, that's tomorrow morning, 7:45, in the library.
Do you like making art in your free time? The advanced art club is a great way to work creatively and meet friends that like to do the same. Please stop by the art room to get more information. There will be a desk outside the art room with an information sheet and drawing assignment. Feel free to stop in or email with any questions.
Do you ever think of creative ways to learn in class? Perhaps you find yourself thinking 'If I were the teacher, I know what I'd do!" If so, then the Future Educators of America club is for you! On Tuesday morning Ms. Horr will hold an interest meeting for any students who are thinking of joining this club; come hear more about it to see if it's the right fit for you! The Scholastic Book Fair is almost here. The fair begins Monday Oct 16 and continues to Friday Oct 20. It will be held in the Library Media Center. Hope to see you at the fair!
Do you have a public library card? The Hillsborough Public Librarian will be visiting HMS. There will be library card sign-ups in the Library Media Center on October 19 during lunch/study.
