The SLAM club's first meeting is tomorrow, February 5 at 7:45 am in C13. This is the 8th year for the publication of our annual magazine: an anthology of your creative writing and visual arts here at HMS. If you like to write, draw, edit, revise and publish works, this club is for you. Snacks will be served! Please email Mrs. Presuto with questions.
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, send that special someone a card and a carnation flower for just one dollar. All this week, orders will be taken during lunch periods. Deliveries will be made by TOPS love bugs on Valentine's Day morning.
TOPS is sponsoring a Valentine's Dance and Open Gym this Friday, February 8th from 7 to 9 pm. Tickets are $5.00, include snacks and drinks, and will be sold during all lunch periods. And just as a friendly reminder, absolutely no tickets will be sold at the door.
STAR would like to thank all those who participated in the Tuesday Shoesday shoe drive - together, HMS collected a whopping 614 pairs of shoes to be distributed to those in need right here in NJ and as far away as Africa. And now...the winner of the Golden Shoe Award goes to Mrs. Kiel's homeroom, with a grand total of 168 pairs of shoes collected! Congratulations - you will be awarded the trophy during lunch today! Homeroom teachers - if you still have shoes or empty boxes in your class, please send a Spirit Ambassador to the guidance office with them at this time.
Attention Students interested in performing or submitting work to the Somerset County Teen Arts -- which takes place on May 16 • The deadline for submitting an application is February 26.
