June 18, 2019
June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Month, and many events are held during this month to recognize the impact LGBT+ people have had all over the world.
Today at HMS, many of us are recognizing LGBT+ Pride Day by wearing rainbow colors to symbolize our support of the LGBT+ community within our school and throughout our great country, where everyone has the right to feel safe and accepted.
In addition, let's remember to “think before you speak” and not use expressions such as “That’s so gay” to mean something negative. Even though they may be just three little words, their power to hurt is huge. Such unintentional but-all-too-frequent harassment is simply thoughtless and unacceptable.
Let's make HMS a place where everyone feels that they can show their true colors!

Attention all students interested Drama – It’s official – next fall’s play will be the classic holiday tale, “It’s a Wonderful Life!” -- the story of George Bailey’s life which hasn’t turned out quite the way he thought it would. As he contemplates his future, an angel steps in to show George just how wonderful his life really is. Auditions will be held September 9th, 10th, & 11th. Students wishing to audition can pick up a practice scene from the bulletin board outside C 13 now to begin preparing for fall auditions.
