Hey HMS!! Are you ready to celebrate School Wellness Week??
School Wellness Week will take place next week, March 25-March 28.
Be sure to check your email for a link to the School Wellness Week Website which contains a calendar including Wellness information and activities planned for the week.
In addition, look out for a few special events being offered:
On Monday, stop by the Annex Gym before school for some EXTRA PE FUN! Join fellow students and HMS staff for Rockwall climbing, Pickleball, and Ping Pong!
On Tuesday, bring or purchase a healthy lunch! Upload a picture of it to the Google form on the School Wellness Website or scan the QR code that will be located on the cafeteria tables.
On Wednesday, stay after school for EXTRA PE Fun! Join fellow students and other HMS staff for Rockwall climbing. Pickleball and Ping Pong!
Daily, check out the Wellness Week Bingo Board posted in the cafeteria. Sign your name in the space once you have completed an activity.
All Wellness Week participants will be entered into a raffle to win a gift card!
We will encourage your homeroom teachers to take you out to walk during your study daily, weather permitting. So dress appropriately!
So SPRING into action and help HMS celebrate School Wellness Week!
Tomorrow, homeroom will be extended until 9:51 so we can conduct a brief infrastructure trial in preparation for the NJSLA assessments in literacy, math and science that will take place at the end of April. It will be important for everyone to have their chromebooks in homeroom tomorrow for this infrastructure trial. During this time, you will be given instructions on how to log into the Testnav app and shown how to access the state assessments. This test of the system will help us ensure that everyone's Chromebook is properly configured to access the site so everything will work smoothly on the actual test dates next month. We will conduct this test of all Chromebooks in an extended homeroom tomorrow morning.
Attention All Students: Come to our Main Gym this Friday, 22nd at 3:30 to watch our HMS faculty take on our students in the charity basketball game to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Ronald McDonald House Charities provides funding for families while their children receive medical treatment. Admission is $2.00. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Student Council hopes to see you there!
Congratulations to the HMS Science Olympiad for winning 4th place out of 27 schools in the State tournament, beating our biggest rival Montgomery middle school! The team earned 14 medals from various events. Well done team!
