These students knew that endorphins are the chemicals released during exercise which help elevate mood and decrease pain - in other words - create a "natural high." Good wellness practices, including exercise and a healthy diet, as well as avoiding alcohol and other drugs, will reward you with more energy, better concentration, a stronger body image and more resilience to withstand stress. And speaking of wellness....
Did you eat breakfast this morning? Do you eat lunch and dinner every day? Do you ever go to bed hungry? You may not be AWARE, but about 1 in 10 families in Somerset County struggles to afford nutritious meals on a regular basis. Please bring in an item to donate to our local food pantry. Each homeroom has a collection bag and the food drive will continue until Friday. If every student and staff member brings in ONE item, we will have about 1,300 donations! Let's show UNITY in our efforts to be a healthy, drug-free community - remember, Unity starts with U!
A reminder to all AWARE members that there IS a meeting tomorrow at 7:45 in Room D-1.

Pumpkins for a Purpose announcement:
Homerooms whose pumpkins are finished please bring your pumpkin, your donation bucket, and your completed green slip down to the cafeteria! If your pumpkin is not yet finished you may have today during homeroom and channel one to complete your pumpkin. We will make another announcement tomorrow during homeroom to bring the rest of the completed pumpkins down to the cafeteria.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity soccer team who won the Central Jersey Junior Boys Soccer League title on Friday defeating Warren by a score of 4 - 0. The team finished the year with a 12 - 0 - 1 record including 10 shut-outs. Great Job team.
