Halloween at HMS - October 31, 2023
On Tuesday, October 31st, students & staff are welcome to attend school in costume for a school-spirit day of Halloween fun.
While many students enjoy wearing costumes to school, not all do, and that’s fine. In lieu of a costume, many students prefer to simply wear a funny hat or Halloween-themed t-shirt, perhaps some facepaint, or even just orange/black colors. There are many ways students can participate comfortably in the spirit of the day without having to wear a costume if they do not wish to.
COSTUME RULES
Students who intend on dressing in costume for school on the 31st should keep the following in mind:
-
Costumes should be school-appropriate and comfortable to wear for the day.
- No excessive gore, violence or sexual innuendo should be a part of the costume.
- No fake weapons. These will be confiscated.
- No full-face masks. Students’ faces must be visible. Make-up and hats are all fine, but no masks.
Finally, please note that Hillsborough Township institutes a 10:00 p.m. curfew for individuals under the age of 18 starting October 28th - 31st.
With all this in mind, looking forward to a safe and fun Halloween for everyone.
Frightfully yours,
Joseph Trybulski, Ed.D.
