Continuing our Mental Health conversation, we should all be aware of the signs and symptoms of mental health issues so that we can better support one another. If you know someone is feeling overly anxious, excessively sad, has a substantial decrease in energy, seems very withdrawn, excessively angry/irritable, experiencing new changes in emotions, or talking about feelings of hopelessness, they might be experiencing mental health issues.
It’s important that we are there to listen when others need us, help them feel a sense of hope, offer words of encouragement and understanding, and then point them toward someone who can help them with their mental health concerns.
Hear at HMS our counseling department is always here to discuss any concerns that you may have.
"There is no normal life that is free of pain. It's the very wrestling with our problems that can be the impetus for our growth." — Fred Rogers
