This week, Tanvi Jadhav proves that she's one of our hardest working reporters with TWO articles in our "Features" section! First, she reveals the hard work and baking that resulted in Student Council's ultimately successful Winter Bake Sale. Then, she interviews HMS's ESP of 2023 -- Mrs. Linda Schley! What does she love most about her job, and how did she become a speech therapist in the first place?
You can find the answers on *The Word* website, which is always available via the link on the HMS homepage. And remember: if your team, your teacher, or your club is doing something special to make the school year a COOL year, you should contact either Ms. McManus or Mrs. Simons via the buttons on our website -- and they'll help you spread The Word!
Again, here are just a few reminders for the TOPS dance: you must bring your ticket and your school ID with you. If you do not bring your ID, then a picture of your name and Genesis photo works too. Please follow the HMS dress code, no snacks or drinks will be allowed in the Main Gym, and have a ride waiting for you promptly at 9pm. If you choose to leave the dance early, a parent or guardian must come into the building to sign you out. And last, but certainly not least, everyone is to enjoy the festivities tonight in either the Cafeteria and/or Main Gym. Please stay out of the hallways. See you tonight!
Due to the ongoing vandalism in the bathrooms, we are closing all but 2 bathrooms for the next several weeks. Today students can use the bathrooms by the A pod in the main building or by D13 in the annex. These bathrooms will be monitored all day by teachers.
