This week at HMS we commemorate No Name Calling Week, an annual anti-bullying campaign. Since blue is the color of peace and solidarity, this week we are lifting the no-hat rule so that students may wear blue hats as part of a program called Hat Not Hate. Thank you for the overwhelmingly positive response to all those who volunteered to make a hat. All 60 of the hat making kits that were donated to HMS have been given out. Please return the two completed hats to Mrs. Mahler at your earliest convenience. Even if you did not receive a kit, you can still choose to make a hat on your own. If you want to learn how to knit a hat, reach out to Mrs. Mottley in Room C-6. Tomorrow, Student Council members will be helping to distribute hand made blue hats to students who want to show their support for anti-bullying. If you already own a blue hat, you may wear it this week!
