June 17, 2019
June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Month, and many events are held during this month to recognize the impact LGBT+ people have had all over the world.
Here at HMS, the School Climate and Safety Team is sponsoring LGBT+ Pride Day tomorrow, June 18th with the goal of eliminating prejudice and celebrating the great diversity of our community and our country. Everyone (whether you identify as LGBT+, have friends or family members who do, or are simply an ally), is encouraged to wear rainbow colors tomorrow in support of LGBT Pride Day.

8th graders - you will be turning your Chromebooks later today. Check your email for a copy of the schedule for collection times by team. Make sure you have removed any wireless mouse adapters. Have your charger-chord with your device ready to be turned in when your team is called to the library. 7th graders will turn in Chromebooks tomorrow.

Attention members of the Advanced Art Club: Following morning announcements tomorrow, Tuesday, June 18, please report to Mrs. Umar's room, Art II, to pick up your Art Club work. Please make arrangements for a ride home, if necessary. Again, Advanced Art Club members will be asked to see Mrs. Umar tomorrow morning after morning announcements to pick up all Art Club work.

SAVE the PENCILS! When cleaning out your lockers, please collect pencils that still have some life in them and bring them down to Mrs Gilroy's class so they can serve a purpose. Remember a tree gave it's life to become a useful pencil. Don't disappoint it.

Thank you to all the staff and students who made Spotlight on 7th a success! And our winners are...
For the most team spirit - Team 7C
The homeroom with the highest points earned - Mr. Sharples
And the overall winning team for the day - Team 7A
