Good morning HMS! How are you SHOE-ing today? STARting next week, Tuesdays will be known as SHOES-days! Why? Because STAR is hosting a shoe collection for families in need in Africa and right here in New Jersey. Each homeroom will have a collection box and we will be accepting gently used shoes, sneakers, sandals, boots, and anything else you can put on your feet! The homeroom with that collects the most footwear will receive the first ever HMS golden shoe award! So, Jeepers Creepers -- donate your sneakers!
The Teen Arts Festival is coming! The Somerset County Festival will take place on May 15, 2019. This festival presents performances in the categories of dance, music: vocal and instrumental, theater, visual arts, video, and writing. ALL VISUAL ARTS SUBMISSIONS ARE SELECTED BY VISUAL ARTS TEACHERS. If you are interested in submitting a work or performing, submit a completed application to Mrs. Presuto in C13. The deadline for all applications is February 22. Applications will be available on the bulletin board outside C13 next week or by clicking on the link the TAF on the HMS homepage.
