Today's Words of Wisdom come from Julia on Team 7A. In her Code of Ethics essay, Julia wrote about the importance of openness. In Julia's words, "Openness is knowing that you have many different options, and that people have many different opinions. It is easy to clam up and turn away the opportunity to do something different." Julia has formed friendships with people that are culturally different from her, and says that "These friendships have made my mind expand to the bigger picture: if you are kind and honest, you can make bonds that will open your mind." Today, follow Julia's example and open yourself up to something or someone new! With something to think about....

The tech hub still has 33 Chromebooks waiting to be picked up. Students who have had loaners for at least 3 weeks need to check your email to see if you received a pickup notice.

Later today, we will conduct a fire drill. I don't normally give advance notice of these things, but today is special in that our fire drill will be brought to you by Sujeeth Karri of Team 7/8C. Sujeeth won the privilege as part of the Student Council Grow a Row fundraiser raffle last month. He has chosen the time of the drill (which is a closely guarded secret). At the designated time, I will hand the keys to the fire alarm system over to Sujeeth and he will supervise the safe and orderly evacuation of the school to your designated fire drill muster stations.
